I agree. This is why I can't hate Bowser too much -- she's uninspiring and probably at least somewhat on the take, but if we put someone from the nuttier edge of the Council in the Mayoral role it's basically like cutting the brakes. We need them to check each other.

I don't think you know what appeasement is. Wanting a Mayor who will serve as a check on the City Council's worst impulses is not appeasement.
