SJC won by 7. You sound like an idiot

Walk? It's like 6 or 7 miles?

Landon played a softer schedule and their biggest win - Highland Park, TX - stumbled down stretch. Still plenty of lacrosse to be played. SJC has advantage if they win out, but they also face stiffer competition to win WCAC title. Landon should coast to IAC crown and celebrate it. Great season for the Bears!

Taft is not having the type of season they historically have - brand new coaching staff. Give them another 2 years and I'm sure they will be back to the national powerhouse they always are.

The Cadet's best win this Spring might be yesterday's Gonzaga game or maybe the Taft Game. SJC has some bad L's though... Losing to Culver by 12+ is embarrassing (I do think if the Cadets were to play Culver again it would be a much closer game as SJC has improved a ton since March)

Landon's best win this Spring is likely GP or GZ and has a quality win over Bullis and Highland Park Texas. I suspect Landon will play GP again in the IAC Finals. Landon has two L's this year (both coming in Overtime to St Pauls and Haverford )

The Bears and the Cadets have two common opponents this season: DeMatha and GZ. Comparative scores are below.

Landon: 13 (Bears led 9-0 at halftime)
DeMatha: 9

SJC: 9 (Overtime)
DeMatha: 8

Landon: 11 (Overtime... Landon was down 6-0 in the first half)
GZ: 10

SJC: 12 (Cadets dominated the entire 2nd half and had a 5-goal comfortable margin for most of game)
GZ: 5

Been saying this for years.... the IAC champion and WCAC champions should add one extra game to the season for official DMV bragging rights. It's the only way to solve these hypothetical debates.

As for the IAC playoffs... I wouldn't rule out Prep from making a run and up-setting league favorite, Landon. As for the WCAC post-season, SJC proved they are still the "Kings" of the WCAC however I wouldn't sleep on DeMatha and Gonzaga has the talent to beat anyone.

In theory the two champions should play each other but what will the IAC do if it’s St. John’s. Landon has refused to play since 2020 and Prep refused to play last year and this year.

No child at either Landon or SJC. If you think IAC schools don’t offer scholarships - You are just ignorant. My son got a significant discount at Landon but we didn’t pull the trigger as the commute was too difficult a challenge.

Of course they do. Prep offers big money.

That's called a grant for lower income not an athletic scholarship. Seeing as you live too far away, you probably couldn't afford to live in the Bethesda area. You wish your kid was good enough to get thought of to be offered aid simply bc he was good at sports.

If you're a poc in the dc area, you get a discount so the schools can up their "diversity" numbers. It's unrelated to merit or need.

St. John’s doesn’t call it an athletic scholarship, it’s tuition aid. IAC folks are grasping for any reason to put down their success.

Love the Bethesda folks thinking they make more money and are better than the families that travel to St. John’s. If you only knew. Trust when I say, we aren’t impressed.

So because SJC doesn't call it an athletic scholarship, that means its not? It's okay. The WCAC operates differently than the other conferences and that gives them a leg up. It also means their top teams are better than all the others. It's not magic, it's money. They have way more students which allows them to have a lower tuition base to begin and then they allow merit based aid. That's a huge advantage.

I suspect when the National rankings come out again on Tuesday Landon will be ranked ahead of St. John’s.

End of discussion until the playoffs are over

On the whole, they do make more money. We do know as there plenty of Bethesda families at SJC and everyone shares.

Typical Bethesda idiot! I bet you live in a house you can't afford and brag about living in Bethesda. I'm 100% positive that I make more money than you and that my modest home in great falls is not as nice as yours. Just because we chose not to deal with the hassle of the bridge MUST mean we are lower income. Do you really think every person that lives in Bethesda can afford private school and those that live in other areas cannot? Continue living your ignorant life.

Theres a guy in Silver Spring who has a bigger schlong than either Great Falls tool or Bethesda fool.

That might all be true but SJC still offers lower tuition for kids who are good at sports and whose families don't need the money.
