Yes, AOS/AET has a maximum quota for each middle school that makes admission harder at a few schools. |
could be, DC never got to see it through. DC dropped out of Curie midway because their Math was too advanced and fast paced. There was english and science components also almost equally demanding. |
A small correction: Gaining admission to TJ is based on a lottery system biased towards equity and diversity, no merit considerations. However, succeeding at TJ requires a strong foundation in middle school math, english and science. This is what Curie and other multi-year enrichment programs aim for—to ensure success after gaining admission to TJ. We approached Curie shortly after submitting the TJ application, hoping for essay training alone, but they turned us away. |
Any movement on AOS AET Waitlist ? |
if you are gonna say bullshit atleast include the truth in it - there is no lottery |
when equity minions dislike facts, profanity ensues. |
I know someone who joined Durie just for the essay training. Might have been a little earlier but joined in 8th grade. |
Curie kids only got accepted?. Is there any other good institute for these trainings ?. |
Training in what? |
For AOS/AET/TJ entrance test |
That's like asking how to train for winning a lottery. Other than that there are a ton of enrichment centers that teach stem subjects like math, english, and science, over multiple years starting in elementary. What are you looking for a lottery training business or stem enrichment centers like Curie ? |
TJ deadline was last Friday. Is anyone off the waitlist? |
They help with the TJ application essays, and AOS/AET still has subject tests. |
Does anyone has an idea what kind of Stem questions they ask in AOL test? Thanks |
Any AET Waitlist movement today ? |
