Well yeah you’ve failed as a parent if your kids never become adults. |
Laptop charges in kitchen with cell phone at bedtime. I turn the Bluetooth off on phone so AirPods can’t connect from bedroom should they be tempted to make phone calls without their phone in their room. |
I'm sure this isn't what you mean but some kids die tragically and it's not the parents' fault. Be kinder. |
No screens in the bedroom for our tween. I try to make sure to take kindles/ipads away at least 30 minutes before bedtime so the tween can decompress and read quietly without the stimulation of the screen. |
No, we do not. And I’ve told my kids that they are going to have friends with more strict and more lenient parents than we are, that every family has different rules, and I don’t engage in the arguments about what other kids are and are not doing. |
No devices with WiFi and camera behind closed doors ever and most certainly not at night. They know this is the policy until age 16.
Sending/receiving inappropriate content is rampant (and of course illegal). Yes, many of the "angel" children of parents posting on this forum are sending/receiving inappropriate content. You can bet on it. Perhaps at this very moment? |
I've had a computer in my room since I was 8 (wifi wasn't a house hold thing yet) and it was fine until wifi became a thing. My parents had a USB drive for wifi for me that they would take at 9pm every night unless I was actively working on a project. Might look into disconnecting wifi at that time, but I have no help for the phone as I didn't get one till I was 17. |
Pediatrician said not to have electronics in their room. Not even a TV. So, no. We don't allow it. Phones charge downstairs every night. |
