It sounds like someone who is about to have an x-wife.

I know someone does stuff like this. Yes, she is entitled and privileged, but I think part of it is also OCD/anxiety and an obsession with things that "might" have germs or something else wrong with them.
Anonymous
I call it a husband.

I do that. I am none of the above nastiness. I do what I want with my strawberries.
Anonymous
Perfectionist who is not self-aware enough to hide/trash the less-than-perfect strawberries.

Then buys another basket of strawberries and starts eating from that one. The old strawberries are just left there and rot and get moldy right next to the new basket of strawberries.

Name the disorder where someone sits and watch and get bothered but neither throws away leftovers rotten strawberries nor asks the said disordered eater to do it.

Anxiety / control issues

If one person is buying the strawberries and also responsible for doing something with all the berries, even the mushier ones - then of course they will eat some of the best ones. If others in the house don't want the strawberries to go bad, they can freeze them and use them in baking.

It's not a disorder. Strawberries are unpredictable. They eat the ones they like and leave the others for you or anyone else who may want them. Then they buy more. Instead of posting, have a discussion about the strawberries nobody wants.
Anonymous
They need a new high quality strawberry provider or to grow their own. Stop the money and food wastage.

Swap in some frozen melted ones first and you take the fresh ones next time!
Be sure to post back the results.

This is like my 6 yo who won’t take the first bite of a banana.

Nip that in the bud….

I'd call that stupid.
