High school diploma. Their job has nothing to do with counseling students and/or families. They point families to resources.

It depends, some of them have bachelors and masters degrees in other areas but decided on a career change to do something more rewarding. It’s a great job if money is not an issue. Many of them speak other languages that’s needed in some schools.
