Baltimore Armour offers

Anonymous
My MS has been offered at Baltimore Armour (ECNL I), but I have been informed by coaches that he may be part of a 30+ roster which makes me uneasy. He was offered RL and EDP with other clubs, so this is a better offer of course- but what is better for acceptance? Everyone I know is getting the Armour offers.

Yikes. 30+ on a roster? Sounds like all kinds of playing time issues for non-starters. That feels like a serious money grab. My DS has been on rosters as big as 24 where he was not a regular starter, and it was always stressful when the rosters are announced for games & tournaments to see who was being told to stay home and who would get to dress. And even though you dressed and drove over an hour for the game, there's no guarantee of playing time which was upsetting for him and frustrating for us as parents. Because of our experience, I would not want my DS on a team with a roster above 22. Of course if your DS is likely starter material, then it really doesn't matter.

You mean MLSn? They are not ECNL

This was confusing post. Indeed Armor is only MLS Next at top. They don’t have ECNL.

Have their GA offers gone out?

Starting this coming year Armour will have a U12 (2013) boys team in the NAL league. The older top teams (2012+) will play MLS Next.
