what are some good companies where a hard working, organized, natural leader who likes working in a team can grow? DD is looking to leave starter job in fast food this summer. She will start part-time community college in Fall. She applied to Target tonight. Her goal is to apply 3 jobs a week. Where else should we look? |
Why retail? |
If I had to work retail, I'd work at a Wegman's, a florist or at an events place (though their hours can be late) like a convention center. DD might like a place where she can get a discount on clothes, for example. |
Maybe Ulta? I know my own 22 yo would enjoy that. I’ve heard Costco is a good employer but I have no experience firsthand. |
I wasn’t sure what to call non-office work. |
Wawa if she wants upward mobility. People are shocked when they see how much their GMs make.
If she moves up there and is willing to move she could work management a Bucees as they expand. $200-300k. |
Op, thank you. She is very organized and was supposed to become supply manager but the store was bought out (part of small franchise) and they are looking to keep costs down. Meaning she’s opening the store and working 11 days but when asked for raise was told DC minimum wage will go up in 2 months. She has real potential but needs to be in a company that values hard workers. |
