Daycare in SW, Navy Yard, or Mount Vernon

Hi! Any recommendations for childcare in Wharf, Navy Yard, or Mount Vernon (near convention center)?

Expecting our first in late August and trying to get a sense of all of our options and what cost looks like. We're open to daycare centers and in-home daycares. Separately, we are exploring nanny share options.

Looking for full-time care, M-F. Starting in mid-December or early January.

Any and all recommendations / places I should check out welcome!

I’m near the wharf and have heard great things about the Britney’s there. I see them out at the splash fountains for outdoor time in the summer which I think is great and all the parents I know are happy with it. My kids go to a federal daycare we love but it’s further away on the mall. I didn’t like the Goddard school when I visited (too academic, not enough focus on fun and outdoor time for me) but my friends whose kids go there also like it. I would really recommend going on tours and getting yourself on waitlists ASAP; stuff fills up fast in this area.
