Sugar staring Colin Farrell

Anonymous
Anyone watching this show? Colin Farrell is a private investigator in LA searching for a missing girl. It’s on my list.
My husband is watching it ahead of me - sounds like it goes off the rails big time mid-way through.
(Not necessarily in a bad way)

I’m intrigued

Anyone else?

It's pretty good. Very similar to the Lincoln Lawyer (TV show).

If you are a film buff, you'll love it. But I don't see how it's anything like the Lincoln Lawyer. It's more noir and has a first person narrator.

My husband and I are watching. He likes it a lot. I’m finding it draggy, with too many characters and not enough plot movement. The latest episode just ended with a weird twist, which could make the rest either much more interesting or hopelessly ridiculous. Colin Farrell is great, so worth watching for his performance.

We are watching. It's the kind of thing I wish dropped all episodes at once, as I find it hard to keep us with the plot twists and turns.

There’s no first person narrative in Sugar?

So annoying. I hope Sugar disappears and no one finds him.

Oh wait, there it is

I wanted to like it but I don't. The narration annoyed me, pacing was slow as well.

NP. Funny, my husband is watching it too and thought I would like it. I'll give it a shot.

I don’t want to be a spoiler but there’s a major twist. I like it but you have to like film noir. The feel is very similar to that Clive Owen’s Sam spade show which is also a slow paced noir detective show. But this one has a major twist that makes it very typical for a noir. I like to try to spot the films from the clips — double indemnity was a good one; to have or have not might have been the bogey fiilm….

Noir usually has voice over.

I like it good enough.

We're enjoying it, but I fear for Wiley.
